China Mountain Chows is Joe Rispoli of Dunnellon, Florida.
I became a chow lover, in 1987, after a little looking around to purchase a puppy. Once I purchased "Pugsley", I fell head-over-heals for the chow breed.
Chows are smart, loyal, sweet, & a bit stubborn. There is a legend that chows are part bear and part lion!
Deciding that my male chow needed a "friend", we purchased a female chow who I named "Yota". Then in 1989, my family had our first litter of Chow puppies and the next chapter of chows began!
My kennel facility has now grown to be a 40' x 80' metal building fully air conditioned and heated for maximum chow comfort.
China Mountain Chows has derived from the Shanghai Chow line. The Shanghai Chow line was established by Jane Weiss the leading AKC award winning breeder of Chows. Our chows are from this combination in order to maintain the highest quality of their breed standards according to the AKC; including superior eyes, coats, hips, and temperment. Thank you Jane!
